Molson Ghost Town | Oroville, WA

Molson Ghost Town and Schoolhouse Museum are found in North Central Washington near Oroville, WA.

The Molson Ghost Town is an outdoor museum with a wonderful collection of pioneer history. The museum was established in 1960 by Harry Sherling.

We added this beautiful stop during a family motorcycle ride across Washington. Just a stone’s throw from Canada, Oroville is a beautiful stop during the summer months, but covered in snow during the winter.

The outdoor museum allows you to browse at your own pace. The ghost town is arranged in a way that makes you feel as though you’ve stumbled back in time; there are some awesome treasures to find.

According to Molson Museum’s website, “The history of this beautiful and seemingly peaceful pioneer town is full of intrigue as well as heartwarming stories of hardworking families. If you would like to know more about it, come to the museum. Many of our volunteers have lived the history of Molson.” (Some of those volunteers include our cousins!).
